Some things to know about the direct TV satellite service

  Insiders Report:

When your television is turned on, have you ever though of how that movie or show just appears on your TV for no reason? Like there should be a bunch of people just in the basic box of the TV but if you have ever opened one that isn’t the case. Your movies, shows, and sports are recorded using a camera, this footage is uploaded to your broadcasting building. From here it is transmitted to a large satellite up in the air which is then transmitted to your house.

Your house may be located in a spot where cable television can’t be broadcasted to so you need a dish that collects the signal and sends it to your receiver so it may appear on your television. This is called the direct TV satellite service. From the satellite it is broadcasted to your single dish or the dishes around your house and then to your receiver or receivers. This is better picture and audio quality than cable because it’s digital and not analog.

What is the difference?

There are two different types of broadcasting services, Analog and digital. The direct TV satellite service using analog works very well with broadcast TV, VCRs, and cable TV. The problem is the resolution of the image. The resolution in your television controls the detail in the picture that appears on your TV. Resolution is calculated by the number of pixels your TV can hold. Computer screens allow more pixels to be displayed therefore giving it higher quality. The computer monitor with the lowest resolution is still better than the best analog TV set that you can buy. And the best monitor you can buy is ten times that of the same set aforementioned.

The direct TV satellite service using digital however is, well, simply stunning. Crystal clear imaging, incredible precision with the focus of the picture, it simply is a spectacle to behold, and really can’t be compared as far as quality of image is concerned.

Why it is better?

When looking at an analog TV set images may seem fuzzy or unnatural looking. When looking at the same picture on a digital screen or a computer monitor, the image will have more clarity and realness to it. Direct TV satellite brings you the clear broadcast of an image to your TV. You must have a TV that can support that image with a higher resolution or the image will not be clear at all. The move to bring all the stations into a digital era is a controversial one. If this were to happen all the people with analog systems will not be able to receive the digital broadcasts, thus forcing those into buying a digital monitor or a computer screen.
